My name is Jasmin Aidarov and I am a second-year Hons. Psyc major with Human Services certificate. I am running to be the TWUSA Social Science Representative for the 2023-2024 academic year. If you would like to learn more about me, feel free to keep scrolling this website!

About me

I love swimming, reading, music, and video games.

I currently reside in Coquitlam, BC, but have also lived in Toronto for many years. I was born in Israel and have roots in both Russia and Uzbekistan, I am a second-generation immigrant and love being able to learn about the diversities of both cultures.

I am bilingual, Russian is my first language and I also Of course speak English.

I prefer cats over dogs but I am a proud owner of a 5-year-old soft-coated wheaten terrier who never fails to make me laugh.

My heart will forever be with Minecraft but I also enjoy many open world games such as portal, Wolfenstein, Witcher 3, e.t.c

I am currently reading Jordan Petersen’s 12 rules for life and Jean Twenge iGen but my all time favourite books have got to be the twilight saga and the Harry Potter Series

Favourite Weekend Activity?

Even though I have been living in the lower mainland for almost 11 years now, I love to explore new places like small cafes or independent stores and other hidden charms with my friends

Future Plans?

After attaining my B.A in Psychology, I hope to pursue a masters degree in a research field.

I believe in forming connections and ideas and opportunities with fellow students in the Social Sciences faculty and professors as a way to progress ones academic and career success. As John Lennon once said, “A dream you dream alone is only a dream, a dream you dream together is reality.“ As someone who hopes to pursue graduate education, I understand that having many good connections in my undergraduate journey can help me go the extra mile in the future and I hope to facilitate that opportunity for other students.

Great Question! I hope to plan more events for meeting fellow students and professors from the Social Science faculty to facilitate opportunities for communications and hopefully open more doors.
